Around the Chroma Community: Fort Washington Park
What’s around the Chroma community? Sure, we’ve got great restaurants and cool hangouts like the Middle East, but did you know that Chroma is pretty much surrounded in green spaces and parks? It’s one of the many reasons why we love Cambridgeport! We’re tipping our hats to one our favorite spots this week, Fort Washington Park.
Fort Washington Park is just about a two-minute walk up Waverly St. While it is pup friendly, the fences have opening, so be careful not to let them wander too far out of sight.
In addition to being a great spot for four-legged frisbee, Fort Washington Park has some pretty amazing history! It dates back to the American Revolutionary War and is the oldest surviving fort from that time. Complete with Cannons and other figures and statues, Fort Washington Park is definitely worth checking out!
We love finding all of the gems that Cambridge has to offer. If your wondering what’s around the Chroma community, or if you have a favorite local spot, let us know!
