The Best Restaurants Near Cambridgeport for Dine Out Boston 2016
Dine Out Boston has officially kicked off this week, and with so many great restaurants to try, how in the world do you decide? Especially if you’re foodies like we are, you want to try them all and there’s just not enough time to do it all…or is there?
Luckily for our residents and friends in the area, we narrowed the list down to the places we think should be on your radar for Dine Out Boston 2016. Let’s take a look at the best restaurants near Cambridgeport that are serving up the good stuff for Dine Out Boston.
Zephyr on The Charles
Zephyr takes up space at the Hyatt Regency Cambridge which sits on the Charles River and overlooks the Boston skyline. This is a great restaurant to sample New England and regional cuisine that is inspired by local fisheries, farms, and dairies. Pair that up with a cozy lounge and breathtaking views, and you’ve got yourself a date on The Charles.
In the mood for ingredient-driven, Italian cuisine? Then, Vialé is a good spot for you. They feature a rotating menu that showcases seasonal pasta dishes, appetizers, and entrees that are all locally-produced. Yes, that means that the chef is hand selecting all of the shellfish, meat, and produce from some of the finest farmers and fisherman in New England delivering them straight to your table.
Commonwealth Restaurant and Market
Commonwealth’s approach to the restaurant/market hybrid has been pretty flawless featuring local produce, New England cheese, farm fresh eggs and dairy, house-made specialties, and much more. For Dine Out Boston, they are putting together a delicious 3-course meal that includes such courses like Oxtail Fritters, Pork Belly, and Strawberry Frappe. Or how about Wild Mushroom & Celeriac Tart with Confit Rabbit Leg ended by a Black & White Cake? Either way, you’re in for a good meal.
One of the newer additions to the Kendall Square restaurant scene, Kika Tapas puts out a retro-y “Brazil circa 1970” vibe with their long, quartz bar is serving an extensive list of signature cocktails. The food’s focus is definitely modern Spanish Tapas with some traditional recipes thrown in as well as Latino-inspired dishes. With over 40 tapas and entrees to choose from, make sure to gravitate towards one of the traditional Spanish Paellas. They are simply to die for.
ArtBar is one of our favorite restaurants in general, but we are definitely digging their lunch and dinner menus for Dine Out Boston. Opening up a wide variety of choices, patrons can go for anything from the ARTBAR Burger or the Lobster Roll to the Seared Scallops or the New York Strip. You can pair those up with a nice bowl of clam chowder to start and a flourless truffle mousse torte to finish – all for $28. Quite the deal if you ask us!
